Shantang street has been a gathering place of merchants since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. At present, there are nearly 200 shops in the block, focusing on introducing four kinds of enterprises: Chinese time-honored brands, master studios, characteristic creative industries and traditional folk crafts. Chinese time-honored brands maintain the traditional style of the ancient street, master studios inherit the intangible cultural heritage, characteristic creative industries create the characteristic culture of the ancient street, folk traditional crafts, and cultivate talents dedicated to the intangible cultural heritage. Intangible cultural heritage has become a beautiful landscape of Shantang historical and cultural district. On June 27, the launching ceremony of "Shantang old business" intangible cultural heritage corner was held in Shantang scenic area. The purpose of the project is to further enrich the ancient street tourism, inherit the intangible cultural heritage, and create the characteristics of historical blocks. There are four kinds of intangible cultural heritage corner: sugar blower (Zhang aisong), grass palm Weaver (Xu Pannan), dough kneader (Guo Futang) and flower seller (Xie Qiling), which are respectively set in front of Lingnan guild hall, stone table of water wharf, songhelou wharf and No. 49 cafe. Stalls mainly take the form of fixed-point rotation, the specific rotation principle is fixed, staggered rotation: four types, four points, each street shoulder regular staggered rotation. It is hoped that this activity of intangible cultural heritage corner, as another important measure to maintain the style and features of ancient streets, inherit intangible cultural heritage culture, cultivate folk traditional handicraft talents, and create the characteristic culture of historical blocks, can make the charm of intangible cultural heritage shine in Shantang.
